Jericho Rosales, a household name in the showbiz industry already confirmed that he will be married this coming May of 2014. He will be married to Kim Jones, a tv host, fashion blogger and a Filipino-British model who grew up in Australia. The venue of the said event is on the island of Boracay.
According to reports, they both chose Boracay because both of them loves the sea and the sport of surfing. They did not plan to have a big wedding but because plenty of their close friends who witnessed the love that they had right from the start are coming and also Kim’s relatives from Australia are coming, so they chose beach wedding.

So guys, I am here again to share with you what are the reasons to spend your vacation in the Philippines. On my last post, I have discussed the 2 reasons why our country should top the list of your vacation options this coming summer. If you’re not convinced yet, I might as well add 3 of the million reasons why.
Street Foods
Isaw
source:prinsesamusang.wordpress.com
A popular street food in the Philippines, Isaw is a chicken or pork intestine which is cleaned, grilled and when cooked is immersed into a sweet or sour mixture which makes it a very delicious snack. It is cheap(Chicken P3.00-Pork P8.00) which makes it affordable for ordinary Filipinos and even tourists who wants to try it.
Nowadays, there are other ways of cooking isaw. Aside from the usual barbecued one, others deep fry it and some even add breading and then fry it.
Balot
source:www.bizarrefood.com
Also known as balut, this food is a developing duck embryo which is eaten by removing a part of the egg’s shell. After removing a part of the egg’s shell, you can take a sip of balut’s soup and afterwards eat the solid parts: the ‘pula’(yellowish part) and the sisiw(small duck). In my own experience, balut can be eaten at its finest when served hot. It’s most delicious part for me is its soup and the ‘pula’.
People
source: pnsri.org
One of the greatest asset of the Philippines is its people. From almost 200 countries worldwide, the Filipinos can be considered as one of the most hospitable people in the world. For Filipinos, there is no such thing as uninvited guest, almost all Filipino households are prepared in case a guest visits a house. Visitors are always offered the best food, beverages, and even the best plates, glasses and utensils. If you are in a Filipino fiesta, never hesitate to get your favorite food and get less. Here, the rule is “eat all you can!”
So, that wraps up everything. Hope you enjoyed my article!

Regarded before as the sick man of Asia, the Philippines is now called as the Asia’s Rising Tiger because of its continued economic growth. It’s a product of the government’s effort to eradicate corruption and poverty which proves helpful to the country’s tourism industry. Because of this renewed success in the economy, famous tourist destinations like Boracay gains much more attention than before. Its tourist visits hit its peak and beats previous records which is a positive for Filipinos as it vastly helps decrease the large rate of unemployment.
If you are a tourist and you want to be a part of this historical boom in the tourism industry, I’ll give you reasons why you should come and visit the Philippines.
Rich in History
• Tabon Caves in Palawan
source: www.pcsd.ph
Located in Lipuun point, Municipality of Quezon, Palawan, this place is highly regarded as the place where every Filipino originated. Fossils of the first known Filipinos called the Tabon man were discovered here aged 22 to 23 thousand years old.
• Mactan Island
source: touristspotsphilippines.weebly.com
Known to be the Island of Lapu-lapu, this island near Cebu is included in the list as one of the most historical places in the country. This is where the famous Spanish colonizer Ferdinand Magellan first set foot in the Philippines. Many believed that he discovered the island but it is written in history books that Ruy Lopez de Villalobos was the explorer of the island. Aside from its rich history, it is also a coral island which makes it a best diving and snorkeling site.
White Sand Beaches
Placed at the 4th spot in the world’s longest coastline with 36,289 km, the Philippines can arguably offer a long list of names of beautiful white sand beaches. I would not expound on this topic further as this country in the South East Asia is already known for its beaches but I will name a few popular beaches here.
Boracay
source: source:boracayblog.com
Awarded before as the best island in the world, this would definitely top the list. With a combination of its majestic beauty and plenty of activities to do, you will definitely never regret the budget you would be using in your vacation on this island.
If you're planning a visit to Boracay, you can visit our website, boracay-packages.com. A website who offer affordable boracay packages.
Apo Reef Mindoro
source: www.divecal.com
Blessed with a very rich underwater natural resources, the Apo Reef is a ‘must’ visit spot for travelers who loves scuba diving.
Siargao

Like the Apo Reef in Mindoro, Siargao offers a distinctive attraction. It houses humongous waves which is a sight to behold for all those surfer enthusiasts out there. The most famous spot in this area is the Cloud 9 as it is included in the top 50 best surfing spots in the world.

This year, Air Asia launched one of the cheapest and the most convenient way to go to Boracay. All passengers who will book a flight from Manila to Kalibo, Aklan will only have to pay P520 per person on a one way trip. Their partnership with Southwest tours just made it possible for local and international tourists to experience a hassle free trip to Boracay.
For those interested with this cheap offer, the route will go like this:
• First, the tourist will be flying from Manila to Kalibo, Aklan(Kalibo International Airport)
• From KIA, a bus will be waiting for another trip to Caticlan
• Lastly, from Caticlan Jettyport the tourist would be on a ferry ride to the island of Boracay where another vehicle is waiting to escort you on your hotel. But take note that this trip is only available for travelers who are settled in stations 1,2 and 3 only.

Boracay being one of the most popular beaches in the world is expected to hit more visits especially that the high season is coming. People of different ages, whether local or international, keep coming to this island because of its beauty and the extra ordinary life that awaits them in the island. Such activities include sun bathing, swimming, kite-surfing, all night long partying, name it, Boracay has all of it. If you are going to Boracay and is planning to do these sorts of activities, then you should know the right outfit for you. This article was brought to you by: boracay-packages.com-a website who's offering affordable boracay packages in 2014.
Wear your most comfortable outfit
Being in a well known island does not mean that you have to be in formal attires. There is also no official outfit in this island, just wear the beach outfit that you are most comfortable with. In the afternoon, where the temperature is really high, females may wear bikinis (two-piece or one-piece) while males can wear their board shorts. It is really advisable to wear bikinis and board shorts because aside from the heat of the sun, it is the time of the day where you’ll be swimming, or doing some sorts of water activities available.
Footwear
Have you imagined wearing your favorite rubber shoes or high heels while walking in the sand? Hassle isn’t it? Some female tourists who used high heels got their heels stuck in the sand while some who used shoes filled their shoes with sand. Save your high heels and shoes for other occasions because it just doesn’t fit the environment you can use flip flops and sandals instead.
Sun block
source: www.clker.com
Save yourself from getting sun burns by using sun block. On the moment that you will buy a sunscreen, take note of the product’s SPF and water proof ability. Sun block’s strength can be measured through SPFs or the screen protection factor of it. Aside from the SPFs, you can also consider other external factors such as: the amount applied, how often you apply the sunscreen and how many sunscreen the skin absorbed. If you are planning to buy a sun block, you can follow this guide: buying a sun block
Pocket Money
source: www.geekygyaan.com
Moreover, for a safer trip, you can bring or at least prepare extra money for the trip. Set aside your money for basic expenses like food, fare, accommodations, and other necessities from the money for your emergency needs.
I hope that this article helped you! Again, happy trip!
